Transposing Rows to Columns and Vice Versa

1) Highlight the cells you want to transpose.

2) Click on “Edit” and “Copy” (or simply hit Ctrl C).

3) Right click on the upper left had of a range of cells where you want to put the transposed cells and click on “Paste Special.”

4) Check the “Transpose” box in the “Paste Special” dialog box.

5) Now you columns are converted into rows and your rows are now columns.

This is a very helpful tool and can mitigate the chances of data entry errors that occur when attempting to transpose rows to columns and columns to rows by hand.
